Industry Leading Speakers
Michael N. Lussier is the moderator for NAFCU's MDI and is the President and CEO of Webster First FCU. He has over 20 years of credit union experience. Currently he is NAFCU chair on the NAFCU Board of Directors. His past service includes Member Small Business Loan Review Board, director at the CULM Insurance Agency, chairman of MSIC and a credit union ambassador aiding Australia and New Zealand.
Dr. Loretta P. Dodgen is the Managing Partner of Human Capital Solutions Group and brings over 20 years of experience building the capacity of organizations and their leaders. In addition to her doctoral studies in leadership, business and organizational change, she completed sessions on Compensation Issues through the Harvard Executive Management Program.
G. Lee Fogle, CCUE has served as CEO of Duke University Federal Credit Union in Durham, NC for 13 years. In this role, he has successfully developed and implemented an ongoing strategic planning process that has reshaped the credit union to include services and service delivery, and a technology-driven strategy of convenience for the members. Fogle and his team’s success in managing the Balanced Scorecard has been recognized by several awards: NAFCU’s 2002 Federal Credit Union of the Year Award, NAFCU’s 2003 Volunteer of the Year Award and Duke University’s Presidential Blue Ribbon Teamwork Award.
Stacey Hanke is co-author of the book; Yes You Can! Everything You Need From A To Z To Influence Others To Take Action. Ms. Hanke helps individuals eliminate the static that plagues communicative delivery - to persuade, sell, influence and communicate face-to-face with a clear message. She has trained over 15,000 people to rid themselves of bad body language habits and choose words wisely. Her client list is vast from Coca-Cola, Kohl’s, United States Army, Navy and Air Force, Leo Burnett, AT&T and the FDA. She has inspired thousands as a featured guest on media outlets including; SmartMoney magazine, Business Week, The Balancing Act, Chicago WGN and WLS-AM.
Dave Koch is an industry lecturer and consultant for the financial institution industry. He has delivered educational programs for national and state industry trade groups, in addition to several Federal Home Loan Banks and Corporate Credit Unions. Mr. Koch actively consults with clients from all industries on ALCO issues and strategies to help find creative solutions to their business challenges.
Christine Moorman, PhD is the T. Austin Finch, Sr. Professor and founder of The CMO Survey (www.cmosurvey.org) at The Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. Professor Moorman is the author of over 60 journal articles, reports, and conference proceedings. She is the author of Strategy from the Outside In (with George S. Day), has co-edited the book Assessing Marketing Strategy Performance (with Don Lehmann), and has made over 100 presentations of her work at companies and universities all over the world. She has served on the Board of Directors and chair of the Marketing Strategy Special Interest Group for the American Marketing Association, as Director of Public Policy for the Association for Consumer Research, and as a Trustee for the Marketing Science Institute. Professor Moorman’s research has won two best paper awards and been published in Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Academy of Management Review, and Administrative Science Quarterly. Her research has been supported by grants from the Marketing Science Institute, the Institute for the Study of Business Markets, and the National Science Foundation.
Ralph Reardon is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Coastal FCU and is responsible for financial accounting operations and board reporting which includes strategic financial planning, corporate bonding, security and risk management, facilities and real estate acquisition, construction and renovation, and leasing and management. Reardon is also responsible for Coastal's risk & recovery management and corporate business contingency planning. He serves as a member of Coastal’s Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) and was a contributor/co-author of the book titled Asset/Liability Management of Financial Institutions.
Rory Rowland has been the president of two Credit Unions and has an MBA in Finance from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and a BS degree in Economics from CMSU.
Sim Sitkin is Professor of Management, Staudenmeyer Research Fellow, and Faculty Director of the Center on Leadership and Ethics at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he was previously Management Department Chair, Health Sector Management Program Director, and Academic Director at Duke Corporate Education. He is a Founding Partner at Delta Leadership, Inc. His current research, teaching and consulting focus on leadership and control systems and their influence on how organizations and their members become more or less capable of change and innovation. His research concerns the effect of formal and informal organizational control systems and leadership on risk taking, accountability, trust, learning, change, and innovation. Mr. Sitkin is Deputy Editor of Behavioral Science and Policy.
Glenn Strebe is the CEO of Air Academy FCU. Prior to joining the credit union movement, he was an auditor and a financial analyst. He has authored a credit union finance book, a white paper, and published in various credit union periodicals. Glenn received his Bachelor of Science degree from the US Air Force Academy and an MBA from Colorado State University. He was an adjunct faculty member of a local university for seven years teaching various finance and strategic planning courses.
