The NAFCU Board Election Process

NAFCU’s board of directors consists of 11 members who are either a chief executive officer or current board member from a federal credit union.  This year, there are three director positions available, each for a three-year term.

The three board seats that are open for election in 2012 are two at-large positions and the Region I director position.

  • NAFCU Region I includes: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont

Note: NAFCU’s regions are set by the NAFCU Board and NAFCU’s Region I does not include Nevada.

The two at-large director seats are currently held by Cutler Dawson, Navy FCU (Va.) and Debra Schwartz, Mission FCU (Calif.).  The Region I seat is held by Michael Parsons, First Source FCU (N.Y.).  All of the current incumbents have indicated their intent to seek re-election.

On April 30, all NAFCU members will receive at-large ballots to cast a vote for each of the TWO at-large director positions. These ballots are due back to the NAFCU Secretary on May 29.
