The 2010 NAFCU elections are now CLOSED.

The NAFCU Board Election Process

NAFCU’s Board of Directors consists of 11 members who are chief executives or volunteers (current credit union Board members) from federal credit union members.  This year, there are four Director positions available, each for a three-year term. 

Election Winners:

At-Large Directors (2 seats available)

Bob Marquette, President/CEO of Members 1st FCU (PA) Incumbent

Ed Templeton, President/CEO of SRP FCU (SC) Incumbent

 

Region II Director

Charlie Thomas, Volunteer of Mid-Atlantic FCU (MD), was the only candidate to be nominated or receive 5 or more valid nominating votes and therefore he is the outright winner as per NAFCU Bylaws. Incumbent

 

Region V Director

Richard Harris, President/CEO of Caltech Employees FCU (CA), was the only candidate to be nominated or receive 5 or more valid nominating votes and therefore he is the outright winner as per NAFCU Bylaws.

February 8

 

Election announcement letter to all member Chairs, with a copy to the CU’s President/CEO/Manager

 

March 8

Deadline for candidate applications

 

March 22

 

Nominating Committee selects slate

 

March 30

 

 

Nominating ballots mailed (At-Large & Regional); sent to President/CEO/Manager, unless otherwise directed.

 

April 13

 

Deadline for return of nominating ballots

 

April 26

 

 

Official ballots mailed (At-Large & Regional); sent to President/CEO/Manager, unless otherwise directed.

 

May 24

 

Deadline for return of official ballots

 

July 22
