The Accounting Manager is responsible for the effective operation of a 5 employee Accounting Department; establishing and maintaining work processes and procedures, ensuring adequate internal controls, maintaining accurate and complete financial records, and preparing timely and accurate periodic statements of the Credit Union’s financial position.  Provide for balanced and/or reconciled general ledger accounts, financial accounting systems, financial institution accounts, and subsidiary records.  

 

The successful candidate will possess a four-year degree in accounting or related field and 3-5 years work experience in accounting and finance for a financial institution/organization.  A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience is required.  Related specialized or technical training is desired in financial analysis, budgeting, information systems, or financial reporting.
