Congressional Federal Credit Union  has an opportunity for an Internal Auditor at the Oakton, Virginia Operations Center. 

Responsibilities:

Assists in organizing, planning and conducting audits of credit union activities and internal control systems in compliance with existing policies and procedures.   Performs audits and documents results. Incumbent  will use a systematic process to evaluate an organization's effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of operations under management's control and will provide the appropriate persons the results of the evaluation along with recommendations for improvements.  The general goals of the Internal Auditor are to be an integral part of:  Competent management decisions;  Strong internal control system;  Positive external audit relations;  Successful business events.

Requirements:

Must possess CIA or be eligible to obtain certification.  Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in accounting/finance preferred or a minimum of three years experience in a credit union is required.   Ability to work independently and experience with Microsoft Office required.  Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.  Possess excellent customer service and member/staff relations skills.  Satisfactory credit background required. 

Basic Duties:

Examination of policies and procedures for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.  Review of operational proficiency of using limited resources as efficiently and economically as possible.
Comparison of compare management goals with Congressional's plans and policies to ensure that the plans and policies reflect anagement's desires.  Provide support on a consultative basis for the implementation of new systems, products and services. Provide support in determining that all applicable laws and regulations are considered when introducing new systems, products and services.
Upon the completion of an audit, preparation of a report of the audit findings within required timeline for review by the Manager of Internal Audit.

Collector

Teller II responsibilities include training and supervising branch tellers, maintaining adequate cash flow for the branch, and balancing the ATM. Retail sales, cash handling experience and  former supervisory experience a plus. Hours will include some Saturdays.

Business Development Specialist

Opportunity available with Congressional FCU's Business Development Department for a Business Development Specialist. 

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the implementation of business development strategies and goals of the credit union.
• Works with the Director of Business Development to help increase member growth within the core membership and existing and future SEGs.
• Initiate, develop and implement business development strategies and goals that will help to increase and strengthen   membership growth through SEG penetration.
• Assist with the creation and implementation of member education and product penetration activities such as seminars and product overview.
• Provide support to the Director of Business Development and business development colleagues in the implementation of strategic initiatives, scheduling of events, research and administration.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from a four year accredited college or university and two years related experience in a financial, marketing, business development environment is preferred. 
• Proficiency with using Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point software.
• Strong oral presentation and writing skills with experience in public speaking to small and large number of people. 
• Must be able to cross-sell.

Congressional Federal Credit Union with Operations Center in Oakton, VA has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst. 

Requirements

• Bachelors degree from a four year college and two years related experience in Accounting or Finance. 
• Supervisory experience a plus. 
• Must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point software. 
• Experience utilizing Microsoft SQL queries and macros preferred. 
• Performs financial analysis, forecasting, cash management and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ability to utilize advanced features of in-house ALM model, generate reports and interpret results.  Profitstar experience a plus.
• Must be able to analyze and report on multiple data streams.

Collections Administrator position available at Congressional FCU Operations Center located in Oakton, VA.

Responsibilities

• Assists Collection Department in all administrative, reconciliation and clerical functions.
• Prepares required reports by the established deadline.
• Ensure that all loan payments, open and charged off accounts are processed on a daily basis to the USERS System. 
• Must have or possess ability to learn credit union*s data processing and accounting systems as pertains to collection activity. 
• Serve as the point of contact on various Collection Department  projects, members and vendor inquiries. 

Required Qualifications:

• Two years college level education w/emphasis in business, accounting or related field. 
• Two years bookkeeping and/or financial experience acceptable in lieu of formal education. 
• Must be detail oriented, w/strong organizational and written skills.
• Knowledge of the principles of customer service/collections skills essential.
• Possess knowledge of the state & federal credit union lending and collection laws, bylaws, & regulations. 
• Knowledge of credit status and its importance.
• Demonstrate an understanding of  balancing, posting and verifying all financial transactions affecting daily work.
  
  

Internal Auditor

Air Force Federal Credit Union is looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to direct all risk management activities by performing operational, financial, interim and compliance audits for the credit union. This person would report to the President/CEO and the Supervisory Committee.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews records, documents, loans, policies and procedures, financial an operational processes and electronic information with regulatory requirements.
• Develops and follows an annual risk audit plan.
• Assesses internal controls to ensure adequate safety and soundness.
• Audits general operating practices within all departments to identify areas of weakness or risk exposure.
• Monitors operations for compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations and credit union policies.
• Serves as a liaison for the external auditors and regulators with their annual exams.
• Prepares written reports on internal audit reviews, including findings, analyses, conclusions and recommended actions.
• Collaborates with management to recommend improvement to operations that will promote efficiency throughout the credit union.
• Conducts investigations or special audits at the request of management.
• Seeks and participates in opportunities to enhance one’s knowledge and skills.
• Performs all other duties, as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a business related Bachelor’s Degree with at least 24 hours of accounting courses.
• CIA and or CPA preferred.
• Must have at least two years previous audit experience in a financial institution.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
• Must have thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations affecting financial institutions.
• Must have excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organization skills.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. 
• Must have attention to detail and exercise sound judgment.
• Good consumer credit report and be bondable.

Lending Services Manager

The IDB-IIC Federal Credit Union has a full-time opening for a bilingual (Spanish & English) Lending Services Manager reporting directly to the President.  Responsibilities and requirements of the position are detailed below:
 
Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements Credit Union lending programs;
• Supervises delivery of lending services to members;
• Serves as loan officer and approves loan applications within applicable limits;
• Trains and supervises employees in proper lending techniques to ensure their compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures;
• Counsels members with financial difficulties;
• Takes appropriate action to collect delinquent loans; and
• Participates in Credit Union educational events and marketing of loan programs.
 
Requirements:

• College degree (preferably in business or finance) and specialized credit training;
• Minimum five years experience in consumer and mortgage lending;
• Knowledge of the secondary mortgage market;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English;
• Previous supervisory experience;
• Ability to motivate staff and build a team;
