The Controller position reports directly to the CFO and involves all aspects of financial management and accounting including financial reporting, profitability modeling, forecasting, investing management, and regulatory compliance. Congressional Federal Credit Union has an opportunity for an Internal Auditor at the Oakton, Virginia Operations Center.
Responsibilities:
Assists in organizing, planning and conducting audits of credit union activities and internal control systems in compliance with existing policies and procedures. Performs audits and documents results. Incumbent will use a systematic process to evaluate an organization's effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of operations under management's control and will provide the appropriate persons the results of the evaluation along with recommendations for improvements. The general goals of the Internal Auditor are to be an integral part of: Competent management decisions; Strong internal control system; Positive external audit relations; Successful business events.
Requirements:
Must possess CIA or be eligible to obtain certification. Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in accounting/finance preferred or a minimum of three years experience in a credit union is required. Ability to work independently and experience with Microsoft Office required. Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Possess excellent customer service and member/staff relations skills. Satisfactory credit background required.
Basic Duties:
Examination of policies and procedures for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Review of operational proficiency of using limited resources as efficiently and economically as possible.
Comparison of compare management goals with Congressional's plans and policies to ensure that the plans and policies reflect anagement's desires. Provide support on a consultative basis for the implementation of new systems, products and services. Provide support in determining that all applicable laws and regulations are considered when introducing new systems, products and services.
Upon the completion of an audit, preparation of a report of the audit findings within required timeline for review by the Manager of Internal Audit.

Internal Auditor
Air Force Federal Credit Union is looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to direct all risk management activities by performing operational, financial, interim and compliance audits for the credit union. This person would report to the President/CEO and the Supervisory Committee.
Responsibilities:
