NAFCU PARTNERS WITH DDJ MYERS TO OFFER
DYNAMIC LEADERSHIP SERIES

WASHINGTON - The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) is partnering with DDJ Myers to offer the credit union community a new set of dynamic, interactive executive education programs. Three multi-day, in-person courses will be offered in 2010 as part of The NAFCU-DDJ Myers Advancing Leadership Series, along with two webcasts in 2009. DDJ Myers’ executive leadership programs have also been selected by the NAFCU Services Advisory Committee as a member of the NAFCU Services Preferred Partner Program, further highlighting the value of their solutions for NAFCU members.

“We’re thrilled to add DDJ Myers’ top-flight executive coaching expertise to NAFCU’s exceptional educational programs in 2010,” said NAFCU Executive Vice President Pat Morris. “The NAFCU-DDJ Myers Advancing Leadership Series has a unique format of interactive presentation and executive information that prepares credit union executives for the future.”

This new partnership kicks off with two upcoming NAFCU-DDJ Myers webcasts that feature DDJ Myers experts. The webcasts, which will broadcast live from the NAFCU studios, are:

  • Succession Planning and Essential Leadership Development, Oct. 21, 2-2:30 p.m. EDT; and
  • Economic Rewards: Productive and Engaged Employees, Dec. 9, 2-2:30 p.m EST.

NAFCU-DDJ Myers Advancing Leadership Series courses are specifically designed for senior credit union leaders.   “We see this as a unique opportunity for credit union leaders to develop sustainable leadership practices,” said Deedee Myers, CEO of DDJ Myers, Ltd. “The courses are relevant to each participant and their current credit union issues and opportunities.   Coupling executive coaching with interactive classroom learning ensures success for each participant.”

Participants can attend as many courses as desired and will receive two individual coaching sessions with an executive leadership coach—one session prior to each event and one session following each event. Coaching sessions will be conducted over the phone and will be organized around each credit union’s desired competencies for leadership skills, knowledge and ability.

The 2010 course listings include:

  • Strategic Leadership Development, January 27-29, Scottsdale, Ariz.;
  • Building an Executive Presence, August 11-13, Baltimore, Md.; and
  • Applied Executive Communications, Oct. 26-27, Denver, Colo.

For detailed course and webcast descriptions or to register, visit www.nafcu.org/leadership. As with all NAFCU programs, the webcasts and on-site courses are open to everyone—NAFCU members and nonmembers alike.

NAFCU is the only national organization that focuses exclusively on federal issues affecting credit unions, representing its members before the federal government and the public.
