Early Bird Deadline:  June 6, 2012

On-Demand webcast expiration date:  June 13, 2013

Open to all credit unions, regardless of membership or charter type!

According to NCUA’s Regulatory Alert 11-RA-03 issued in May 2011, "federally insured credit unions should have robust enterprise risk management practices in place to maintain member data integrity and confidentiality."

Risk management assessment should be a top priority for all credit unions in light of the recent uptick in frequency and sophistication of fraudulent activity. Whether it’s handling member transactions or internal operations, credit unions are exposed to risk on a daily basis and need to ensure they have an effective system in place to properly manage threats.

This webcast will provide an overview of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and explain the importance of an effective program to help assist you in the strategic and operational planning process.

At the conclusion of this webcast, participants will have the tools necessary to:

  • Develop an effective ERM program
  • Identify key areas of risk within your credit union
  • Articulate benefits of a Risk Assessment Program based on the Commission of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) framework
  • Apply ERM concepts to help differentiate between perceived risks from actual risks that could impact your profitability and reputation
