Each month the Economics & Mortgage Market Analysis Group from Fannie Mae produces its Economic Outlook, which provides a review of mortgage and economic trends. Join Mark Palim, director of economics for Fannie Mae, as he presents the Economic Outlook for NAFCU members.  His presentation will include an analysis of the housing market, mortgage market, and overall economic climate.

Dr. Palim is a Director in the Economics and Mortgage Market Analysis group at Fannie Mae. His work focuses on the impact of trends in the financial services sector on the economy and on Fannie Mae.

Prior to working at Fannie Mae, Dr. Palim spent twelve years working as an economic consultant. He worked for eight years at PricewaterhouseCoopers and four years at LECG. His practice was focused on applying economic and financial theory to a variety of business disputes and policy questions. He has been a consulting and testifying expert in antitrust cases and disputes in the financial industry. In addition, Dr. Palim led a team of 75 adjudicators charged with valuing claims for the Department of Justice and the Special Master administering the Federal September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.
