Evan Shelan is the creator and founder of eZforex.com, Inc.
He graduated from University of Texas in Austin with a BA in economics. In
1994, he transformed a small foreign currency exchange business from a brick
and mortar to a web-based digital environment, where he developed a wholesale
model of selling foreign exchange services over the Internet to banks and
credit unions throughout the United States. Today, over 4,000 banks and credit
unions are servicing their customer base with eZforex. His success may be
contributed to the development of innovative technology that includes a secure
method of purchasing foreign currency as well as creating the first and only
retail currency exchange interface with the shared branching network.
Rachel D. Smith, Director of Strategic Alliances, eZforex.com, Inc.Rachel
Smith is the Director of Strategic Alliances and has been with
eZforex.com since 2005. Acting as a liaison between eZforex and its
strategic partners, she drives business development and the on-boarding
of new affiliates. She continues to develop product and service
enhancements and to monitor the relationships with eZforex.com's
affiliate partners.Rachel is a graduate of the University of North
Texas with a B.A. in International Business and Economics. For several
years, Rachel served as eZforex's Director of Operations, during which
time she co-implemented a consumer protection program, initiated and
supervised product and service enhancements, provided on-location
training for new affiliates, and managed the operations department.
Jorge Jimenez, Director, Federal ReserveAs the FedGlobal Director at the Federal Reserve, Jorge is helping change conventional wisdom on International Payments helping all financial institutions in the United States to provide low-cost international payments as well as remittance services. Jorge Jimenez joined the Federal Reserve System as FedGlobal Product Director in 2010, but he has been involved in payments systems for over a decade. He received a Master in Business Administration from a joint program between the London School of Economics of London and Bocconi University of Milan. He then joined the operational arm of the Italian Central Bank, SIA-SSB Group, where he was first Project Director for the new European Clearing House in support of the newly introduced Euro (STEP2) and then in charge of developing the payment infrastructure for Central Banks in Latin America and Africa. Jorge has worked closely with the World Bank Payment Systems team and has conducted business in over 30 countries.
