CU locator touted in Bankrate item

A Bankrate.com article carried on the Fox Business website points to NAFCU's credit union locator as a good way to find a credit union based on one's employment or other common bond such as school, place or worship, association or community.

The Aug. 18 item addresses a question posted by "Marie Membership" on whether a person needs a "work-related connection" to get into firm's credit union. In reply, the author points to the various types of common bond that may qualify a person for membership in a credit union; he noted that NAFCU's locator turned up several options for him.

The locator mentioned by Bankrate is CULookup.com. Available via NAFCU's home page, it's maintained by NAFCU Services Corporation, provides a free, detailed listing to each NAFCU-member credit union and is also available to list non-members.
