Berger, Thaler named top lobbyists again

NAFCU's Dan Berger and Brad Thaler have been recognized once again as two of the top lobbyists working on Capitol Hill, according to The Hill newspaper.

Berger, executive vice president of government affairs, and Thaler, vice president of legislative affairs, are no strangers to The Hill's annual list of top lobbyists. They have been cited by the publication with great frequency over the last several years.

In naming the two lobbyists to its 2011 list, the publication said Berger and Thaler "will be ready for action if the supercommittee puts the tax exemption for credit unions on the chopping block."

The Capitol Hill publication compiles the list annually from interviews with lobbyists and congressional staffers.

Earlier this year, Berger was included in CEO UPDATE's 2011 Top Lobbyists Special Report, which places the spotlight on "those who deftly employed the tradecraft of association lobbying" over the past 12 months.
