Oct. 12, 2012 – NCUA and the six other agencies that are members of the Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force are all slated to participate in the Philadelphia Federal Reserve’s Oct. 17 webinar on fair lending issues.
The webinar, which is sponsored by the Non-Discrimination Working Group of the FFETF, will include a discussion about a variety of emerging fair lending issues and hot topics. The other agencies belonging to the FFETF –– which include the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Reserve Board, the Department of Justice, FDIC, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development –– will all have representatives at the webinar.
Confirmed speakers include Michael Bresnick, executive director of the FFETF, Thomas Perez, assistant attorney general for civil rights for the DOJ; and Sandra Braunstein, director of the Division of Consumer and Community Affairs for the Federal Reserve Board.
The webinar will include a presentation portion, followed by a question and answer segment where participants will be able to ask speakers questions in real time.
The webinar, part of the Fed’s “Outlook Live” Audio Conference initiative, is part of an ongoing series of events focused specifically on consumer compliance issues. The event is produced in conjunction with the Philadelphia Fed’s quarterly newsletter Consumer Compliance Outlook.
The webinar will run from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm Eastern.
