Oct. 31, 2012 – The October edition of Robert Rutkowski’s monthly “Current Issues in Credit Unions” podcast, which aired last week at NAFCU’s Regulatory Compliance Seminar in Seattle, is now available to stream online.

Rutkowski, a partner for Weltman, Weinberg & Reis LPA, and  NAFCU Director of Regulatory Compliance Steve Van Beek were joined by Katherine Weber, founder of The Weber Firm, and Hal Scoggins, shareholder of the Farleigh Wada Witt for the podcast discussion. The discussion covered suspicious activity reporting under the Bank Secrecy Act, credit union asset growth, “green” credit unions, an update on member business lending, credit union social media issues, new disclosure requirements in 2013 and what the new health care reform law, or “Obamacare,” means for credit unions.

The October podcast was the 75th in the series. Each month, the free podcast highlights topical compliance issues of interest to credit unions.
