FinCEN to stream sold-out BSA webinars

Registration is now closed for the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network's two upcoming webinars related to the Bank Secrecy Act e-filing process, but a recorded version of both will be available on its website soon after broadcast.

The webinars are aimed at assisting personnel with BSA-related responsibilities. The shift to all-electronic filing of most BSA reports took effect July 1.

On Sept. 18 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern, FinCEN will host a webinar that looks specifically at filing instructions for the agency's new BSA form. An Oct. 2 webinar will highlight the agency's new Currency Transaction Report and Designation of Exempt Person forms. During both webinars, FinCEN representatives will give an overview of the e-filing process and answer some frequently asked questions about completing the forms.

FinCEN's new forms are only available through the BSA E-Filing System. The agency is recommending that participants review the new forms before seeing the webinars.

The agency announced Wednesday that it has already received the maximum number of registrants for both webinars.
