Sept. 10, 2012 – Credit union managers have just one week – until Sept. 14 – to save on enrollment in NAFCU’s 2012 Management Development Institute, slated Nov. 12-16 at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham, N.C.

Among the highlights at this year’s MDI will be a full-day strategic planning workshop delivered by business author John Spence. Spence is executive educator and author of "Awesomely Simple – Essential Business Strategies for Turning Ideas Into Action." At 28, he was nominated as one of Florida’s top CEOs under 40 for his leadership of an international Rockefeller foundation.

Spence was a keynote speaker at NAFCU’s CEOs and Senior Executives Conference this April. His session was so popular that NAFCU sought him out as an instructor at MDI, said Lisa Cox, NAFCU’s director of events and education.

Since 1991, MDI has provided a comprehensive, one-week executive education curriculum to prepare credit union leaders to grow and thrive in today’s complex financial services environment. NAFCU members and nonmembers are welcome; enroll now.
