NAFCU’s offices closed noon through Jan. 1

Dec. 31, 2013 – NAFCU’s offices will be closed from noon Eastern today through Jan. 1 – New Year's Day – but members will have full online access during this time to the association’s publications, event listings, compliance resources and more.

NAFCU’s next webcast, “New Telephone Consumer Protection Act Rules," is scheduled for Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. Eastern. Marc Darnell, an attorney specializing in commercial litigation, will lead the webcast.

The next NAFCU UPDATE will be published Jan. 3; a special UPDATE report on NAFCU’s top priorities in 2014 will be released with the Jan. 2 issue of NAFCU Today.

Credit unions can continue to take advantage of the association’s CFPB mortgage rules compliance resources as well. Most of the bureau’s final mortgage rules take effect Jan. 10. The recent final rule on Truth in Lending Act and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act disclosures has a delayed effective date of Aug. 1, 2015.
