NCUA Board to act on donation accounts, more
Dec. 12, 2013 – The NCUA Board is poised to approve a final rule today that is expected to permit federal credit unions to maintain charitable donation accounts to hold funds reserved for donations to be made by the credit union.
Today's open board meeting, the last for 2013, will also include a briefing for the board on an interagency appraisal rule today. Action on the agency's oversight budget for the corporate stabilization fund for next year, a final rule to make technical amendments to the agency's corporate credit union rating system and a proposed rule on requirements for federal credit union "examination sites" is also slated.
The interagency rule on appraisals applies to higher-priced mortgage loans.
The meeting, at 10 a.m. Eastern, will be followed by a closed session addressing supervisory activities, a personnel action and an appeal under NCUA's rules on changes in officials.
