Enoch invites CUs to Military Saves

NAFCU's Quincy Enoch is urging defense credit unions to participate in Military Saves Week, which runs Feb. 25-March 2, to showcase the ways defense credit unions are working to help military families year-round.

Enoch, NAFCU's associate director of legislative affairs and military liaison, emailed NAFCU member defense credit unions Monday. He noted that any credit union that signs up for the campaign will be listed as an official "Military Saves Week Financial Institution" on the campaign's website. The site provides access to resources and tools credit unions can use to promote saving among military servicemembers and their families.

"Participating in Military Saves Week will give you the opportunity to showcase the great things we know your credit union is doing to help the military community," he said. "Offering special Military Saves Week products can lead to new members or help to reintroduce all the services available to existing members."

Enoch will participate in a National Guard financial literacy event Feb. 19, a week before Military Saves Week; he will participate in the Pentagon's Financial Readiness Fair Feb. 25-March 2.

Credit unions with questions about how to participate in Military Saves Week can email Enoch at qenoch@nafcu.org, or dial 703-842-2261.

[Military Saves Week runs concurrently with America Saves Week. Those with questions about participating in America Saves Week can contact Patty Briotta, NAFCU's director of public relations, via email to pbriotta@nafcu.org, or dial 703-842-2820.]
