CULookup calculations top 2 million
Consumers carried out more than 2 million calculations using CULookup's online financial calculators at CULookup.com itself and on credit union websites in 2012, 22 percent more than in 2011, reported NAFCU Services Corporation.
CULookup.com hosts 30 calculators consumers can use to figure out their home buying, saving, retirement, credit and auto financing needs. The calculators drew nearly 545,000 unique visitors to CULookup.com itself or credit union websites in 2012. More than 5,800 customizable calculators have been created by credit unions using the site.
Launched in 2010, the calculators are free to NAFCU members and available for a fee to other credit unions.
NAFCU Services President David Frankil said consumers are eager to look to credit unions to meet their financial needs. "Every week, more and more credit unions are adding these calculators to their websites as a simple way to aid members in making key personal finance decisions," he said.
