Jan. 7, 2013 – NAFCU’s Anthony Demangone will talk about the challenges of today’s financial and political landscape and how credit union executives can better manage the attendant demands during an address tonight before the Metropolitan Area Credit Union Management Association.
Demangone previously led NAFCU’s regulatory compliance team and is now the association’s senior vice president and chief operating officer. He is the author of NAFCU’s management blog, Musings From the CU Suite.
His address, “The Stressed Out Elephant in the Room,” will look at the effects of legislative, regulatory and marketplace changes since the start of the financial crisis, the blurring of personal and work lives and how all this can lead to poor performance and bad decisions.
“MACUMA does great work, and I appreciate the opportunity to address them on one of my favorite topics – dealing with all of the change facing credit unions today,” Demangone said. “Even with today’s changing landscape and information overload, leaders need to cut through the noise and focus on their strategic goals.”
