Jan. 4, 2013 – NAFCU is holding several webcasts over the next few weeks that will detail for credit unions how to make the most of mobile and digital marketing, managing third-party relationships and complying with CFPB’s international remittance transfer disclosure rules.

Here's a brief look at each:

  • Jan. 9: NAFCU's webcast, Leveraging Social and Mobile to Improve Your Digital Marketing, will examine how credit unions can leverage social media and the mobile channel to improve their marketing efforts. Featuring digital marketing gurus Sundeep Kapur and Veronica Stecker, the webcast will offer insight into how credit unions can use digital marketing to their strategic advantage. The Jan. 9 webcast is a precursor to Kapur's special workshop being held during NAFCU's upcoming Strategic Growth Conference, scheduled March 12-14 in New Orleans. Today is the last day to take advantage of the $100 early registration discount.
  • Jan. 16: In Managing Credit Union Vendor Due Diligence and Third Party Relationships, attorney Amanda Smith of Messick & Lauer P.C. will provide credit unions with strategies on how to perform due diligence with vendors and service providers. An early registration discount is available through Jan. 9.
  • Jan. 24: In The CFPB's International Remittance Transfer Disclosure Rules, Credit union compliance expert Mary-Lou Heighes will help credit unions understand the CFPB’s remittance rule, including how recent changes affect disclosures. Calculations for rate, fee and tax information and timing of disclosures and notices will be covered. An early-bird discount is available through Jan. 17.

All three webcasts are open to all credit unions, regardless of membership or charter type.

For a limited time, credit unions can take advantage of a 45 percent discount on NAFCU's 2013 Unlimited Webcast Subscription Package, which includes more than 20 webcasts. The package provides 24-hour access to each webcast for everyone in the credit union throughout 2013. A CD is provided for each webcast. View full details online, or dial NAFCU's Member Service Center at 800-344-5580.
