FinCEN invites nominations for BSA group
Nominations of financial institution and trade group representatives for the Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group are due Feb. 15, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network announced.
The BSAAG provides advice and recommendations to the Treasury secretary on BSA operations. The group addresses issues brought before it by the FinCEN director. New members selected for the advisory group receive three-year membership terms.
Organizations can nominate themselves. Applications for individuals not representing an organization will not be considered, FinCEN says in its notice. Members are selected by the FinCEN director.
Jennifer Shasky Calvery is the current director.
