1-9-13 Sundeep Kapur, NCR (NAFCU webcast)
  NCR's Sundeep Kapur gave credit
  unions a full overview of the issues
  they must consider to ensure success
  in digital marketing. He speaks again
  at the Strategic Growth Conference.

Jan. 10, 2013 – Credit unions participating in NAFCU’s webcast yesterday on digital marketing learned how to make the most of social and mobile channels from Sundeep Kapur, NCR’s integrated media strategist and a speaker for NAFCU’s upcoming Strategic Growth Conference.

Kapur, in “Leveraging Social and Mobile to Improve Your Digital Marketing,” discussed what users of multi-channel communications want. The answer to that is quick recognition, discounts or “insider” rates, quick resolutions to service issues, no more than two clicks to find information and privacy and security for sensitive information they provide.

Multi-channel consumers are the ones who use smart phones, ATMs, websites, in-store kiosks and other electronic devices for receiving information. Kapur also discussed the five types of media available to marketers. These include:

  • owned media – website, social media sites;
  • earned media – references in the media;
  • paid media – paid advertising;
  • shared media – member interaction and “shares” on social sites; and
  • integrated media – print, TV and other forms of traditional media.

Kapur is conducting a workshop during the Strategic Growth Conference, slated March 12-14 in New Orleans. (Early registration discounts end Friday.)

Wednesday’s webcast is archived and will remain available for one year.
