Jan. 18, 2013 – NAFCU Board Secretary Jeanne Kucey will be in the nation's capital representing the association at several events for the inauguration of President Barack Obama to his second term in the White House oval office.

Kucey, who leads Jetstream FCU in Florida, will attend the Florida State Society Ball on Saturday.

Also attending inaugural events is former NAFCU board member Alvin Cowans, McCoy FCU. Cowans is attending the Florida State Society Ball, as well as the Sigma Pi Phi 100 Black Men of America Inauguration Reception on Sunday.

Monday's activities include a Reserve Officers Association Breakfast honoring the Medal of Honor recipients, the inauguration itself and the evening Official Inauguration Ball.

NAFCU President and CEO Fred Becker, Executive Vice President of Government Affairs Dan Berger and other NAFCU staff will also participate in various weekend events.

Katie Marisic, NAFCU's director of political affairs, said NAFCU's participation in the inaugural activities "is a wonderful opportunity to get credit union representatives in front of lawmakers and new administration officials as we work to advance credit union issues on Capitol Hill this year."
