CFPB CU council meets Wednesday
Oct. 2, 2013 – The CFPB’s Credit Union Advisory Council, which includes several NAFCU member representatives, is set to meet this Wednesday in Chicago to discuss bureau activities having an impact on the credit union industry.
Wednesday’s advisory council meeting, one of just two remaining through year-end, may address CFPB mortgage regulations set to take effect in January. CFPB Director Richard Cordray attends many of the bureau’s council meetings.
Council members are also expected to attend the CFPB’s field hearing Wednesday, also in Chicago, on credit cards. The hearing is slated for 11 a.m. Central time.
