Regulatory Compliance Seminar to be streamed live
Oct. 17, 2013 – For the first time, NAFCU is offering live video streaming for those credit unions unable to attend the sold-out Regulatory Compliance Seminar beginning Oct. 22 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.
“Seminar students, both in-person and via live streaming, will obtain comprehensive knowledge about the current regulatory landscape that will help their compliance team tackle any challenges they face head-on,” said JiJi Bahhur, NAFCU director of regulatory compliance.
The seminar will focus on the latest compliance challenges facing credit unions, including: new mortgage rules from the CFPB, NCUA exams, vendor management, servicing rules for Regulations Z and X, fair lending and proposed credit union regulations. It will also include a feature presentation about how to create a culture of compliance, with David Reed, partner at Reed & Jolly, and Rusty Vellek, the compliance officer for Transportation FCU.
The seminar is open to NAFCU members and nonmembers. Credit unions can now register for live streaming or contact NAFCU’s Member Service Center at firstname.lastname@example.org or 800-344-558 to be placed on a waiting list for the in-person event. Educational credit hours will be available for NAFCU Certified Compliance Officers (NCCOs) – including those who choose the live stream option.
