B. Dan Berger
Sept. 18, 2013 – NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger takes part in a panel discussion of key credit union issues today at the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors 2013 Summit in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.
The panel, titled “Working Together on System Priorities: The Credit Union Leadership Forum,” includes Berger, CUNA President Bill Cheney and NASCUS President and CEO Mary Martha Fortney. Moderated by Defense Credit Union Council President and CEO Arty Arteaga, the panel will discuss the credit union tax exemption, housing government-sponsored enterprises, supplemental capital and member business lending.
NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz and Board Member Rick Metsger will also give remarks during the summit.
The above topics were key issues last week at the NAFCU Congressional Caucus, attended by some 400 credit union representatives looking to get the latest on issues affecting them and air their concerns with members of Congress.
