NAFCU, CUNA leaders talk issues at Caucus
Sept. 10, 2013 – The NAFCU and CUNA executive committees and senior staff met for a discussion of issues important to credit unions Monday at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel, headquarters for the NAFCU Congressional Caucus in Washington.
Credit unions are attending NAFCU's Congressional Caucus to hear directly from lawmakers and regulators about several issues coming to the fore, including tax reform and any potential impact on credit unions’ federal tax exemption, housing finance reform, regulatory burden, CFPB’s mortgage rules (which kick in next January) and more. Afternoons are for credit unions’ visits with lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
NAFCU's Congressional Caucus, "Storming the Hill," began Sunday and continues through Wednesday morning.
