Tefferi on deck at CFPB advisory board meeting
Sept. 18, 2013 – NAFCU Senior Regulatory Affairs Counsel Tessema Tefferi will represent credit unions during a panel discussion today in Itta Bena, Miss., during the public portion of the CFPB’s Consumer Advisory Board meeting.
The panel will discuss innovative strategies to improve consumer access to credit, information and financial resources. The panel includes representatives of consumer groups, community and industry representatives and members of the public. CFPB Director Richard Cordray will also give remarks.
The public portion of today’s advisory board meeting runs from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Eastern. The meeting is being held at Mississippi Valley State University.
