Tefferi with Consumer Advisory Board Wednesday
Sept. 16, 2013 – NAFCU Senior Regulatory Affairs Counsel Tessema Tefferi will be on a panel with community and industry representatives during the public portion of Wednesday’s CFPB Consumer Advisory Board meeting in Itta Bena, Miss.
The day before that meeting, CFPB Director Richard Cordray will meet with leaders from credit unions – including several NAFCU members – and community banks.
The Consumer Advisory Board’s meeting on Wednesday is an all-day affair. The public portion will run from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Eastern. That discussion will focus on access to credit, information and financial resources.
Cordray will give remarks during the public session along with CFPB Deputy Director Steve Antonakes, Office of Financial Empowerment Assistant Director Cliff Rosenthal and Mortgage Data Assets Team Lead Ren Essene.
