5 winners in NAFCU political action awards

April 16, 2014 – Four NAFCU member credit unions and one credit union executive were named winners of NAFCU's annual political action awards – the White Hat Award and the Credit Union Challenge.

"We are delighted to recognize the accomplishments of these exemplary credit unions and industry professionals," said Dan Berger, NAFCU's president and CEO. "These winners work tirelessly to ensure the credit union industry has an effective voice before Congress."

The White Hat Award is given to the NAFCU member credit union that raised the most money for NAFCU/PAC in the past year. This year's winner is Members 1st FCU in Mechanicsburg, Pa.; this is the tenth time that the credit union has won the award. Bob Marquette, the credit union's president and CEO, is a past member of the NAFCU Board and chairman of the NAFCU/PAC Committee.
