NCUA webinar Jan. 22 on exam modernization

Jan. 8, 2014 – NCUA announced it will hold a free webinar Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. Eastern on the agency's measures to streamline and improve consistency in its examination report process.

The webinar is aimed at helping credit unions gain a better understanding of new procedures regarding Documents of Resolution and the examination report.

After several years of urging by NAFCU, NCUA has revised and clarified its instructions to examiners on the use of DORs and when it's more appropriate to just note exam findings in the written exam report. NCUA detailed its clarifications and changes in the exam reporting process in an October Letter to Credit Unions.

NCUA said speakers for the Jan. 22 webinar will include Dominic Carullo, an economic development specialist in NCUA's Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives; Amanda Parkhill, a loss and risk analyst with the Office of Examination and Insurance; and Clarence Jones, a national training specialist.

Credit unions may register now for the webinar. For more details, see NCUA's full announcement.
