CFPB sets field hearing on consumer complaints
July 11, 2014 – CFPB is holding a field hearing July 17 in El Paso, Texas, on consumer complaints and is taking registration now.
Streamed live, the hearing will include remarks from CFPB Director Richard Cordray and testimony from consumer groups, industry representatives and members of the public.
NAFCU still has concerns about the bureau's consumer complaints database and its impact on credit unions' reputational risk. It has urged against the inclusion of unverified complaints in a public database.
The July 17 field hearing will be held at Chamizal National Memorial Theater, 800 S. San Marcial St., El Paso, Texas 79905. It's open to the public, but an RSVP is required to attend.
