NAFCU partners with Operation Homefront at A.C.
July 23, 2014 – NAFCU has partnered with Operation Homefront for the association's Annual Conference and Solutions Expo to help U.S. servicemembers and their families that are in need of school supplies.
Attendees at the conference will participate in assembling 225 backpacks, which will each be donated and contain school supplies and a handwritten note for the child recipient.
"Credit unions enjoy giving back to their communities, and helping servicemembers and their families is a great way for our attendees to show their appreciation for all that they do for our country," said Lisa Cox, NAFCU's vice president of events and education. "Operation Homefront does amazing work for military families and we're delighted to work with them this year."
Dovenmuehle, Genworth Mortgage Insurance, Money Concepts and Élan Financial Services are sponsoring the backpacks. The drop-off location for the backpacks will be located at NAFCU's Preferred Partner Pavilion.
"Give Back to Military Families with Operation HomeFront" is slated for tomorrow.
NAFCU's Annual Conference continues through Friday at The Venetian Las Vegas Casino, Hotel & Resort. For up-to-the-minute information on the conference, download the NAFCU Annual Conference app or follow the hashtag #NAFCUAnnual on Twitter.
