Holly Petraeus keynoter at Defense Credit Union Summit
June 5, 2014 – Holly Petraeus, assistant director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Office of Servicemember Affairs, will be the keynote speaker at NAFCU's Defense Credit Union Summit, next month in conjunction with the association's Annual Conference and Solutions Expo in Las Vegas.
"The insight Mrs. Petraeus has to share will be invaluable to defense credit unions as they look for ways to meet the unique needs of servicemembers and their families," said NAFCU Military Liaison Quincy Enoch.
The CFPB Office of Servicemember Affairs works with the Department of Defense to bolster financial education, address complaints and questions about financial issues and work with federal and state agencies to strengthen consumer protection efforts for military families.
Petraeus previously served as director of the Better Business Bureau's Military Line program, a partnership with the DoD Financial Readiness Campaign. In that position, she was tasked with providing consumer education to active and retired servicemembers and their families.
The Defense Credit Union Summit is an annual gathering of the nation's defense credit union leaders and defense personnel to address top-of-mind defense issues and to learn best practices for serving DoD members.
This year's summit takes place July 22nd at The Venetian Las Vegas Casino, Hotel & Resort and is open to NAFCU members and nonmembers. Visit www.nafcu-annual.org to learn more and to register.
