Temkin: CUs give best customer experience

March 26, 2014 – Credit unions give the best customer experience in the “banking” industry, according to the 2014 Temkin Experience Ratings.

Credit unions received the top score at 81 percent – putting them in the “excellent” range of the survey. Temkin asks consumers to rate institutions based on functionality, accessibility and overall emotional experience.

Credit unions scored higher than all the others in 2013, with a rating of 79 percent – higher than that year’s ratings for USAA or the two top-rated banks. This year, Regions Bank also scored 81 percent, and USAA scored 80 percent.

Temkin surveyed 10,000 consumers in January about their banking industry customer experience, as well as their experience with 18 other industries.
