NCUA has grant money for tornado-hit CUs

May 2, 2014 – NCUA is reminding low-income designated credit unions affected by recent tornados in the South and Midwest to apply for emergency assistance grants through the agency's Urgent Needs Initiative.

The grants go up to $7,500 and can cover expenses related to restoring credit union operations and repairing facilities. The agency recommends low-income designated credit unions in the region contact the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives to learn more about Urgent Needs Grants.

Urgent Needs Grants are funded through the Community Development Revolving Loan Fund, administered by OSCUI.
