NCUA portal facilitates search for providers

NCUA's Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives on Tuesday announced a new Credit Union Service Provider site aimed at helping credit unions research and find better product and service vendors to meet their needs.

"Credit unions are often looking for companies to provide products and services to help them meet members' needs, comply with regulations or just handle day-to-day operational requirements," said William Myers, director of the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives, in a statement Tuesday. "NCUA's new program can help them find the right supplier."

The site only includes vendors that register to be on the new portal through the federal government's System for Award Management database, NCUA said. Once a company is registered and validated, it will be included on the site and their information available to credit unions. The site will not offer any reviews or endorsements, NCUA noted.

Credit unions can also find providers via NAFCU's website. Providers listed there are the Preferred Partners of NAFCU Services Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of NAFCU.
