NAFCU's Risk Management Seminar agenda out

Credit unions can now get a look at the early agenda for NAFCU's first-ever Risk Management Seminar, scheduled Aug. 3 - 5 at the Grand Hyatt Denver in Colorado.

The association's inaugural conference will provide great value to credit union executives as well as compliance and risk staff.

"We created the conference when it became clear that risk management is a growing and crucial concern for our members," said NAFCU Executive Vice President and COO Anthony Demangone. "Our staff have prepared a fantastic conference that will allow members to gain confidence and develop a solid plan for their credit unions' risk concerns."

The seminar's agenda includes, among other things:

  • NCUA's expectations regarding risk management and enterprise risk management (ERM) in exams;
  • risk mitigation;
  • vendor management and associated risks; and
  • Credit Union Case Study/Workshop with results of NAFCU's first Annual Credit Union Risk Survey.

Attendees at the seminar will have the opportunity to earn NAFCU's Certified Risk Manager (NCRM) designation by taking and passing the optional certification exam.

    Discounted enrollment will be offered until June 5. Prospective attendees can book reservations at the Grand Hyatt now, which offers a view of the Rocky Mountains and is located near Denver's domed state capitol building as well as its 23-acre Botanic Gardens.
