Fannie Mae has outreach materials for 3%-down mortgages

Fannie Mae released new outreach materials, including flyers, FAQs and email content, which can be customized by a credit union to educate its members on the availability of low down payment financing options.

Fannie Mae began allowing creditworthy borrowers to put as little as 3 percent down on a new mortgage in December. In an effort to educate more homebuyers about the availability of the loan options, Fannie Mae said all materials on its website in PDF form can be customized to include a company logo, name, address, contact information, mortgage product name(s) and legal disclosures.

Customizable materials include information about the 3-percent down payment loans, down payment assistance, FAQs about loan payment options and a sample email message with guidelines about the down payment mortgage.
