NCUA co-hosts event for minority- and women-owned businesses

NCUA will co-host an informational and networking event Aug. 12 for minority- and women-owned businesses interested in contracting with the federal government.

The free event will take place at the George Mason University Arlington Campus. It will include presentations on the basics of government contracting, federal proposal writing and other details.

NCUA's Office of Minority and Women Inclusion is co-hosting the event with similar offices from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve Board, CFPB, the Treasury Department, FDIC and the Securities and Exchange Commission. NCUA notes that its Office of Minority and Women Inclusion aims to ensure equal opportunities for everyone in the agency's workforce, programs and contracts.
