Credit unions rank high in customer service survey

The 2015 Temkin Customer Service Ratings show credit unions garnered high marks in a survey that covered 278 companies across 20 industries.

Credit unions got high scores from 74 percent of respondents, after Chick-fil-A at 75 percent and USAA at 79 percent. Comcast was ranked lowest at 17 percent. In 2014, credit unions came in eighth place, beating such competitors as Starbucks, TD Bank, and Nordstrom, Credit Union Times reported.

The 2015 findings are from an online survey Temkin conducted in January to determine how consumers rated customer service. The respondents ranked companies they had interacted with in the past two months from scores of 1 to 7, and Temkin calculated the percentage of scores of 6 or 7 for each company.

Temkin recently put out a survey rating customer experience in which credit unions got high ratings from 81 percent of respondents.
