Dec. 2 chat slated on serving members with disabilities

NCUA will host a live Twitter chat on how credit unions can better attract and serve members with disabilities on Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. Eastern.

Representatives from NCUA's Office of Consumer Protection and from the National Disability Institute will discuss findings from the institute's report, "Banking Status and the Financial Behaviors of Adults with Disabilities."

The chat will focus on how credit unions can help improve the financial well-being of people with disabilities as well as what resources are available from NCUA's consumer website, MyCreditUnion.gov.

Participants can follow the chat using the hashtag #NCUAChat on Twitter, and they can submit questions in advance to socialmedia@ncua.gov.
