NAFCU cybersecurity committee talks FS-ISAC offerings today

Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) Director Jeffrey Korte will discuss a recently launched Credit Union Council and Advisory Group during today's NAFCU Cybersecurity and Payments Committee meeting.

Korte will provide information on how this new council will offer services and training opportunities to address credit unions' cybersecurity needs.

The group plans to host three free webinars specifically for credit unions at 1 p.m. Eastern Dec. 15, Dec. 20 and Jan. 12 that will describe how FS-ISAC's services and platforms operate to improve cybersecurity.

The NAFCU Cybersecurity and Payments Committee, made up of member federal- and state-chartered credit union representatives, today will also receive an update on the progress of the Federal Reserve's Faster Payments and Secure Payments Task Forces. NAFCU is a member of both task forces and has urged the Fed against a "one size fits all" approach in determining the payments system's future.

The committee today will also discuss consumer access to financial records and Visa's recently announced turn-about on debit steering practices.
