CEOs Conference early-bird savings deadline is today

Today is the final day for attendees to save $100 on registration for NAFCU's CEOs and Senior Executives Conference, which focuses on giving credit union executives strategies for success.

The conference is set for April 12-14 in San Francisco. Sessions will center on new business strategies and leadership tactics to succeed amid economic and technological changes for financial institutions.

In addition, attendees will have opportunities to connect and build their networks, exchange ideas and solve common problems.

Keynote speaker Carmine Gallo, a communications coach for brands including Google, Disney and Four Seasons, wrote in a CUInsight editorial Thursday that his keynote will offer lessons on compelling storytelling.

"In my work, I've spoken to Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, Shark Tank's Barbara Corcoran, ‘The Voice' producer Mark Burnett and many other leaders who credit much of their brands' success to their ability to sell ideas in the form of a story," Gallo wrote. "I've also studied TED talks and interviewed the speakers whose talks have gone viral. I've found that there is a formula to viral messages: story, data, story, data, story."

He continued, "The credit union story can easily be engaging for the public to hear and absorb – but I think credit union leaders suffer from the same problem that affects leaders in many other industries: the cult of knowledge. They know too much. They understand the advantages credit unions have over banks – but are they communicating those advantages in language that members and potential members understand?"

Attendees will save $100 when they use the promo code CEOSAVINGS to register for the conference. The conference will take place at the Fairmont San Francisco; learn more.
