Silberman is CFPB's acting deputy director

David Silberman has been named acting deputy director at CFPB while the bureau seeks a permanent replacement.

Silberman, previously associate director of research, markets and regulations, replaces Meredith Fuchs in the acting position. Fuchs, who had also served as the bureau's general counsel, left CFPB last month, and Mary McLeod was named general counsel.

NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger and senior staff met with Fuchs in early October on credit unions' top regulatory concerns and NAFCU's suggestions for addressing those.
