Upcoming webcasts: Risk manager designation, HMDA primer
How credit union staff can best prepare for NAFCU's Certified Risk Manager designation exam and a complete overview of credit unions' Home Mortgage Disclosure Act obligations headline two upcoming NAFCU webcasts.
At 2 p.m. Eastern Wednesday, NAFCU is offering a free webcast titled, "Preparing for the NAFCU Certified Risk Manager (NCRM) Designation." Through this webcast, credit union viewers will enhance their preparation for the NCRM exam, which can only be taken in-person during NAFCU's Risk Management Seminar, Aug. 8-10 in Denver, Colo.
NAFCU Director of Education Devon Lyon will show credit union viewers how they can prepare for the exam by reviewing best practices for preparation, exploring the best study materials, learning about the daily study sessions and discovering how to maximize study time.
The HMDA webcast, "Understanding HMDA: A Full Primer," becomes available for viewing Aug. 5. Part of NAFCU's HMDA Webcast Series, it will cover everything from the original regulation to the rule changes that go into effect in just a few months.
This webcast reviews the current HMDA requirements that are in effect today, teaches which loans are subject to HMDA reporting and goes over how and when credit unions should begin to implement changes to their HMDA program. Mitchell Klein, chief risk officer for Citadel Federal Credit Union, leads the webcast.
Credit unions can access the webcast after purchase starting Aug. 5 through NAFCU's Online Training Center.
