NCUA cybersecurity risk webinar May 12
NCUA is hosting a cybersecurity risk webinar at 2 p.m. Eastern May 12 for credit unions wanting more information about how they can protect their institutions and members from cyber threats.
Registration is now open.
Deputy Director of NCUA's Office of Examination and Insurance Tim Segerson and Director of NCUA's Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives William Myers will lead the webinar. They will highlight how small credit unions can prepare for and recover from a cybersecurity event and how to avoid or minimize cybersecurity vulnerabilities in products and services they offer.
The webinar will also cover how credit unions can use the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council's cybersecurity assessment tool.
Credit union board members and volunteers attending NAFCU's Annual Conference and Solutions Expo, June 14-17 in downtown Nashville, can participate in the association's Board Excellence Program, which includes sessions on information security threats, trends and credit union compliance.
