Mulvaney raises concerns about NCUA budget
Rep. Mick Mulvaney, R-S.C., raised concerns about the NCUA's budget increases in a letter Monday.
Mulvaney thanked NCUA Board Chairman Rick Metsger and Board Member J. Mark McWatters for holding a public hearing on the budget and attempting to improve the agency's transparency.
"Despite this important progress, I continue to have concerns with NCUA's persistent failure to control expenses as your budget continues to balloon – nearly doubling in the last decade," Mulvaney wrote.
Mulvaney also asked for details on any post-settlement analysis to verify that the NCUA took the most efficient approach in pursuing its various legal cases.
