Interagency webinar on overdraft Nov. 9
The Federal Reserve is hosting an interagency webinar to discuss overdraft practices and issues identified through consumer complaints, examinations and enforcement actions on Nov. 9. The webinar will also include a question-and-answer segment.
Representatives from the Fed as well as NCUA, CFPB, FDIC and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency will speak during the live webinar, slated from 2-3 p.m. Eastern.
Credit unions interested in participating can submit questions in advance via email by Oct. 21 to facilitate the Q&A segment.
Registration for this event is now open.
NAFCU has been in constant contact with the bureau about its planned actions related to overdraft. The association has raised concerns about an overdraft rule, noting the loss of such programs could lead credit union members to seek out more expensive alternatives.
