Ask CFPB rep questions during Sept. 28 member call-in

Senior staff from CFPB's Office of Financial Institutions and Business Liaison will brief NAFCU member credit unions and take their questions during the association's Sept. 28 member call-in, "3Q Advocacy Update."

The call, slated for 4 p.m. Eastern, will also include NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger and senior staff with a look at the latest legislative, regulatory and economic developments affecting credit unions.

The Sept. 28 discussion will focus on rulemakings from CFPB and NCUA, regulatory relief, data security and interest rates. The call will also address pending litigation and the recent scandal at Wells Fargo, where more than 2 million consumer accounts were created without authorization.

NAFCU staff in Wednesday's call will include Berger as well as Executive Vice President of Government Affairs and General Counsel Carrie Hunt, Vice President of Legislative Affairs Brad Thaler, Director of Regulatory Affairs Alexander Monterrubio, Director of Regulatory Compliance Brandy Bruyere, Director of Political Affairs Dan O'Brien and Chief Economist and Director of Research Curt Long.

The member call-in is provided free as a benefit of membership in NAFCU, but registration is required.
